Do you know the health of your oil system?
When oil temperatures rise beyond acceptable levels there are a few key areas to look at in order to resolve the issue.
Temperature
· Verify the temperature reading is correct.
· This can be done with an inline thermometer or hand held digital temperature monitor.
· This ensures the oil temp RTD is sending the correct temperature reading to the control panel.
Thermostatic Control Valve
· The Thermostatic Control Valve uses a thermostat to regulate oil through the oil cooler.
· Once the oil reaches a preset temperature range (110 or 100) the thermostat will open and allow oil to pass through the oil cooler thus maintaining a constant operating temperature.
· If the thermostat fails, ACE offers new replacement thermostats in 100 and 110 degree ranges.
Oil Cooler
· If your oil cooler isn’t performing, you may need to perform a cooler cleaning to insure there is no buildup in the water side of the tubes.
